Kimberly and Alexandria

Kimberly and Alexandria - Taken when Alexandria was 36 days old.

I ended up giving Alexandria another dose of morphine around 6am.  Around 6:30 I couldn’t stay awake any longer and traded off with Kimberly.  She had a fairly good day, and around 9pm this evening her color began to look much better then it did yesterday.  She’s weak, but fighting hard, it would appear that her immune system is definately kicking in.

  1. Doug & Kim ~ Have followed your journey from the beginning via email updates from Mary Robertson. Your transparency and faith are admirable. I know that God is using Alexandria to do extrodinary things and that she was “remarkably and wonderfully made” (Ps 139:14) for His glory and purpose. As parents of special needs children I know sometimes it is hard to see His purpose in our children’s lives but I know he loves them more than we can ever imagine or hope to love them ourselves. Hold fast to His promises, each other and Alexandria (as well as the boys). Will continue to pray for each of you.

  2. Doug and Kim: The good news just keeps coming. Hang in there. I know the Lord has great plans for Alex, some of which have already come, and we pray many more will come. God bless you all.

  3. Kim and Doug,
Your Mom gave me your website and as I read your notes and look at the beautiful pictures of your precious little girl, I am reminded that our God is good. We don’t know why we have to go through the bad times but we know that God is going through them with us. I know He is with you and your family. I will continue to lift you all up in my prayers. I will pray for good sleep for you and strength and comfort for Alex.
She is quite a little fighter. Thank you for sharing your story of her life.
    Love, Carolyn
